Splat 3 NSE Summer will run over 5 weeks with matches taking place every Monday. Teams will play 2-3 matches a week and the tournament will use a modified Swiss format.
During Summer, alumni will have the opportunity to compete alongside students in a mixed team format. To participate, all players must have attended the same University. If you're an Alumni and need assistance setting up your account, simply fill out this form or get in touch with alumni@nse.gg to create your mixed team.
Stage 1 - Group Stage
In Stage 1, teams will against other teams close or on the same win rate as them using the modified swiss format. After the first 3 weeks, the top 8 teams will become division 1.
Stage 2 - Playoffs
In Stage 2, starting in week 4, the top 4/8 teams will start in the Division 1 bracket (a double elimination bracket). Teams that do not qualify for playoffs will not have any more games.

RULES SUMMARY
This is a summary of rules that are the most common.
In addition to NSE rules all players must comply with Splatoon 3 terms of service at all times including, but not limited to, any account sharing policies.
Players are expected to uphold the NSE Code of Conduct whilst competing in this tournament.

GAME MODE AND MAP SELECTION
All games will be best of 5. The game modes will be played in the order of the weekly mode rotation. Turf War will always be the first game mode, the other four game modes will rotate each week, with the final mode being the second mode of the following week. The home team will select the map to play in the first game. In subsequent games, the loser of the previous map chooses the next map. You can not play the same map twice in the same match.
SUBSTITUTION RULES
All decisions regarding the interpretation and enforcement of these rules are at the sole discretion of the NSE Admin Team, whose decisions are final.
These rules may be amended, changed or supplemented when required by the NSE Admin Team to ensure fair play and competitive integrity.
